Roland you are racing on with this one and he is looking great, hope those oils lose the shine when they dry out, I paint in oils myself and trying to come up with a system that mattes them down and gives a nice result is an ongoing challenge.

Thanks Terry! If you got the Blueprint to loose the shine let me know!:) I try to work with thin layers, and sometimes i dilute it with Terpentin, but unfortunatly the Terpentin kills the Thickness of the paint:( And sometimes this is not so Optimal for me! I can paint much better with thicker Paint,i have more control over the Paint!
    Cheers

I came back to the hobby about 2 years ago after a 20-30 break and way back then there was Opal Medium that you mixed into the oils and this gave you a matt finish but as far as I can remember it also changed the texture of the paint, however I tried to source this to give it a try and I don't think it is available anymore, I put the matt problem onto a forum and it seems that a lot of the guys use heat boxes that they have knocked together to dry the oils out, still to try this but dont want to warp the resin lol.

The heat boxe sounds good for me! I will try it! Or do some experiments with Matt Varnish!
    Thanks

Very nice work. Also I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who puts his photos on sideways on. Gives it more character I think. ;)
