With regard to the Angus McBride print, the notes at the back of the book state that this armour is based on a brass of Thibaud de Pomollain, in which he is wearing an early form of bascinet and a massive bevor to protect his neck and shoulders:-

A traditional, and also a terribly demanding method. But it gives great results, as evidenced by your sculpture. Only can not be used on 54mm .

Borek、Creating chain mail required a great deal of patience. However, I think that observation against the real thing was insufficient. Someday I will have the opportunity to try it again. I would like to make a better chain mail at that time.
