Does anyone know if anyone makes miniature cobblestones for figurine bases, and if so, where they can be purchased?

Hi Chris.
Look at the Dolls house websites they do some nice roof slates that are ideal I purchased some time ago from a company in sussex. The name escapes me at the moment but I will keep looking. There is also a thread on this site where I was given the info by Mark ( tubby nuts) I will keep looking.

Years ago lentils were used very effectively.

I made in my AFV periode a large road of yentils and white glue.
Airbrushed the whole road and looks great.

Using peas ( 45 years ago, when I began, Humbrol painting )

have a look at this product. They are textured rolling pins that produce a variety of effects, including cobblestones. the links is

Yeah, Green Stuff World's products are pretty good. They make a leaf punch that is very useful, too. The patterned rollers could be used to make wall sections, too, as well as bases. It's a shame that they haven't made a roller with the pattern for Marston matting, too.

Regarding other sources for cobblestones, I remembered that Verlinden also made packs of loose cobblestones:

I have no connection to the eBay seller; I have a "verlinden" search and those items were convenient to illustrate my comment.

Of course, since Verlinden finally gave up the ghost last year, these items have to be found more and more in dwindling retail stocks or as second-hand items.

Armand Bayardi (US) makes a great range of groundwork and architectural pieces generally 1/30 - 1/32 scale but they do have some 75mm and 120mm too

Y'know, seeing this topic again reminds me of a question I've had about using dried lentils or dried split peas, for cobblestones. And that is, is it worth it to heat them further in the oven, or is whatever drying process food factories use sufficient to make them impervious to any liquids we'd use in attaching them to bases or painting them?

3 l water
3 cups of dryed peas
2 slices of bacon
salt, peper, teacup of sariette
1h30 in a steamer



By the way see my picture above, made 45 years ago, still perfectly dry
