Paratrooper General 'Bruno' Bigeard by Pavol Ovecka

    Hello Folks

    Available soon is this 1/9th scale resin bust superbly sculpted for me by 'Offo'. It depicts the French General Marcel 'Bruno' Bigeard a very distinguished Officer who fought in many theatres of war. His many awards included a British DSO awarded during active service in WW2.

    Quite a controversial character the movie Lost Command was based on his service in Indo China and Algeria. He was depicted by Anthony Quinn and is well worth a look.

    The photo used by Pavol shows Marcel Bigeard as a colonel in 1956 at the 14 July review, this might help to sort out his numerous decorations. I am eagerly looking forward to put paint to this excellent representation of "Bruno"!(y)

    Well the postman was a good lad .....he delivered my copy of this bust and what a happy Nap I am

    Packed in a large box and a good quality one piece casting , details are very good partculately the definition of the medals .

    On my list to do with lots of research to do !

    The postman just delivered the Bigeard bust and it is every bit as good as I expected it to be, excellent sculpting, facial likeness and crisp medals, all cast in quality resin without any bubbles! True to the depicted character and being a para he will jump the queue on my bench so some illustrious marshals and the Empereur himself will have to wait a bit longer!;)

    A big thank you to Gordon for the quick delivery and of course to Pavol for the sculpting.
