    Hi guys,

Does anybody have any experience with the 502 Abteilung flesh set? I am looking for a base mixture to have as the "mid-tone".

I have been mixing the paints together and find that my mixture is too "pink".

Most flesh sets usually include a "sand" colour to mix the paints with. This set doesn't . In fact the colour "Basic Flesh Tone" is quite light and pink (see attached picture).

Any ideas? I have been mixing the paints in this set and i am quite confused.

    Thanks,
    Brian

Why don't you mix the colors yourself. You'll have a better control of what is pleasing to your eyes.

It is a nice tone I think, but indeed rather light.
Perhaps try to mix in some burnt sienna or burnt umber?

For self-mixing oils there are many references for flesh tones on the web. Just think they wouldn't be based on Abteilung paints, but on the regular colours.

    Cheers
