Don't see anything wrong with the riding position Red five , they ain't cowboys

Leg back and toes down not good. Apart from the toe down this rider looks like he is about to give the leg the aid for a canter. For a static figure, walking or trotting the foot should be horizontal with maybe the heel down a bit and leg on the girth.

Cowboys would have the leg long and more forward.

When I get a mounted figure I tend to tidy up the tack and riding position. Wouldn't stop me buying these. Just a minor point few would notice.

Otherwise they are very, very nice figures.

PS. I ride horses a lot.

Brilliant sculpts, and I'll bet they'll be the usual flawless castings.;) Magnifique.

Granted the heels should be down unless spurring which would not be good given those stirrups , just wanted to see if you new what you were talking about :D

You are right on both accounts but it won't stop me buying it , could always straighten the leg a bit , the right one is a bit better , suspect they are from the other mameluke model .

I saw these myself on Facebook this morning. Outstanding and beautiful as always. I have 3 of each of all of the Metal Models mounted pieces and will be adding both of these to my collection for sure. Some of the best metal castings on the market.

What Tommi only three of each !! you are slipping:D What I would like to do is paint one of each and antique one also , re metal casting does it actually get any better , don't think so :)

But do remember that with the "oriental stirrups" the side was and is used as a spur. I will double check with my eldest daughter as she lives in Oman partly earning her living as a riding instructor and training arabian horses for distance riding events.
