  1. Hi everybody. I'm KaYo. I have already posted some stuff in the forums and you have given me valuable feedback that I appreciate a lot. I am starting slowly a miniature brand. I'm very green in the scene though and was hoping to get some insight from this community regarding its members. How did you guys got into painting? What do you enjoy most about it? What do you look for in a mini? What other sites you frequent besides this one? I want to know you guys more! that's all. Have a great day.

Welcome to Planet Figure. It may be easier for you to gather the information you're seeking on our interests and how we got started in the hobby by setting up a specific poll thread where you can ask a question and put forward some suggested responses and see what the forum members say in response. If this is essentially a "market research" poll, I suggest you say so up front to avoid any confusion.

Welcome KaYo! I agree with Tony. You could also do some searching on PF for prior polls - not ones specifically titled "market research" because I don't think there are any - but I can remember several polls in which members were asked what scale they preferred, what attracted them to a specific mini, etc. One caveat - just my opinion, but I don't think the membership of this forum reflects the "figure buying public" [Whoever they are!!] Most of the members posting on a regular basis are probably older, more interested in historical or fantasy or games related 'niches' and much more experienced than the figure buying public. You may not be able to get the data you're seeking, but by all means try.

    Good luck!

    All the best,
    Dan

  8. Hello all. I appreciate your feedback, tonydawe and Dan Morton. I don't know if I would call this "Market research" although I see how it cuold be seen that way. Just trying to start a conversation andget to know more like minded people. I've been checking previous posts and getting some insights from that. Thank you again and will see you around the forums!

    Hello and welcome

Making it short : I received some unpainted Lasset, Sanderson and Hinchliffe 44 years ago, decently I had to show gratitude by painting them .... still buying and painting ...
