    Hello
Today I finshed my first sculpt- a medieval soldier in 75mm scale.
I used a Magic Sculpt and cooper wire and its took me about two months to finish him.
There was a lot of fun ,lot of mistakes and do it over again moments, lot of reading about sculpting tehniques and a lot of patience to finish him.
I would like to hear what you think about him .
I would also like to give my thanks to Steve from REEDEES Miniatures -Steve I cant thank you enough for your support. First one ? That is fantastic.
The only thing that might be considered as "serious" error is the shape of the spine - it too flat - it should be S shaped (that is why his stance looks too stiff) . Try to fix that on next one, and it will be great !

Well done! Consider using mixes of Kneadatite and MS for cleaner, crisper detail definition. Or whatever floats you boat. Do you know the other two-part air-drying putties? I haven't tried all of them but have used a lot of the alternatives. The only one I really dislike is Milliput - too pasty and doesn't keep its' shape as well as other types.

    All the best,
    Dan

Well done Dejan for completing your first figure sculpt, it is a very satisfying feeling when you sculpt your first figure and you should save this figure for future reference, by doing so you will see physically how well you develop over time with future sculpts. I still have my first figure I ever sculpted and it's nice to compare it with figures I do now.
Good to see you are engineering your figures from the start, that is a very important aspect if you want to have your figures produced, engineering can be difficult so the more practice the better.
It has been pointed out about the figure being a bit stiff and that is something you can work on for the next one, it's so important to spend a lot of time on the armature getting the pose set right as this determines the end result.

    Well done mate (y)

That's a very good first attempt, It's looks in proportion which is one of the hardest things to get right, and it's not an easy subject. I think the more you practice the better you will get.

But well done on your first one the only way is up, will be looking out for more from you.

    Cheers

Not bad for a start. However, an error occurred at a very early stage of the work - while setting pose. The figure is very tense and there are no natural curves of the spine. As we say in such cases: "Swallowed a metal rod." In any case, my first figure was about the same. Good luck in the future work.

    Thanks RantaN.
I already work on second figure and paying very much attention to spine curve.
