good day , searching ebay for model kits I discovered a seller from Greece selling a 75mm peyk sultan messenger in resin . don't get me wrong it looks nice and clean , but this kit was put out by pegaso in white metal , I never thought it was made in resin and it dosent list the company especially pegaso . does anyone buy these , I do not support piracy , I generally buy company direct or redlancers . any info would help . thanks jim

If you trawl through Ebay there are several crooks selling Pegaso (and others) originals re-cast in Resin................make no mistake they are all pirates

I see that keith , I was taken back at first and checked pegaso website to see if they did a resin cast , which I was pretty sure they didn't . but the resin cast was near perfect , but why are these guys not being removed by the distributors they steal from . my two cents

All you can do is by from the manufacturer ,it would be to costly to hunt these thieves down .
Tempting as it may seem but if you buy from them then the manufacturer goes out of business and everyone loses

Hi Jim, It is an often debated subject on here. My view is that the larger manufacturers Pegaso, Andrea, Young etc have sufficient volume of sales to amortise their costs before these guys get going. Little is able to be done from what I can gather due to the cost of preparing a case and the lack of International Legal agreements to bring a prosecution.
The same is happening in other markets, Alchohol, Cigarettes, Perfume, Golf Clubs, Sports Clothing, etc, etc. The presence of an outlet like Ebay has given these guys a way to market.
As Ron has said buy from the Manufacturers if they are still in business and help to ensure their survival.
