I have just uploaded an image of a wip of the face painting from my first bust. The bust is from Bonapartes and all painting is in acrylics. All comments welcome.

Yes, you are right, I have already blended the colour back on the cheeks. Yes, I have always used acrylics. Mostly Vallejo and Scale 75. Although, I have just bought a number of Jo Sonja paints. No, I do not use any retarder, just water.

Hi Brian, thank you for your comments. The bust is titled; French Hussar with Drummer boy 1812. Where the hussar is carrying the drummer boy during the retreat from Moscow.

Paul your painting is looking good and you are developing a nice style, you will find lots of help and inspiration with PF and looking at other painters work will let you see that they all have their own way of finishing off a figure in their own style.

Brilliant painting!! I did this Bonaparte's kit some time ago. It is one of the best! Daren't submit photo as my artistry leaves much to be desired!
