Hi All here is the first bust From Mick's Mick's Models. this Has been done in conjunction with Ellie's Miniatures.

The bust depicts an NCO from the Inniskillen Dragoons 1901 ( Boer War) and is the first of a series that is based on the Irish Regt from the Victorian period. the bust was sculpted by Offo and will be availibale through Ellie's Miniatures Web site in due course. the price will be £42.00 Inc P&P World wide. we will be taking Pre-orders very soon through www.elliesminiatures.com

This is a new venture and we wish Mick all the best and it's a pleasure for Ellie's miniatures to be involved with this exciting new project.

    Greetings.
Well as you can see it has arrived.
To say I am happy with it is an under statement. I think Offo has done a fantastic job on this. I had a picture in my minds eye for this Bust and Offo was able to produce that thought from an information pack I sent him. Outstanding work. I love the face making him look older to account for his rank.

I would also like to thank Ian and his team from Ellies as without his help and guidance this project would not have taken off. As he has stated he will be available via Ellies website.

Last of all thank you Paul ( Peedee) for the proof reading as my head was spinning.

Am I Happy. No . Im Happy Happy.:) :)

Looks great. Nice to see another Boer War piece. One or two have trickled out onto the market in recent years, but it is still a very neglected era. Hope it takes off for you Mick. I might even pick one up myself at some point.

Just out of interest, what is it specifically that marks him out as an Inniskillen Dragoon?

    Hi Steve.

He speaks with an Irish accent.
No Serious. This chap was going to be a private, Whilst doing the research I discovered the ID patch on the helmet was disused as it was used as an aiming point. Collar Dogs and Shoulder titles were not worn by the Regiment during the Boer War. So he was promoted in the field to a Sgt thereby I could put the Enniskilling Castle
( Regimental Badge) above his Chevrons.

Thanks for looking in and your comments
