Kyle has written a very informative article help us to understand how our paints work, the mixing of colors, and details on various palettes. Although the focus of the article is oil paints, much of what is in there can be applied to artist acrylics as well. A good understanding of your paints can really help take your work to the next level.

This has been an enjoyable read

There's a book written by Michael Wilcox "Blue and Yellow don't make Green" pretty well stating the same format.

The best colour theory book I have. After explaining much the same theory, it discusses pages of colour mix exercises, and each of the paints from the main producers used in each exercise - very good indeed. The only book my art teacher recommended we buy.

I should have read it before purchasing my first palette of oil colors... But we can always correct this kind of mistakes and there's always room for improving
