Soooooooo many kits, sooooooooo little time (or $$$) I have put this one and your last WWI vignette on the wish list. Is this one inspired by the Osprey title?

Yes, it was inspired by the Embelton artwork.

Thought so. I've always thought that one was worth doing.

WW1--NICE!! This subject doesn't get enough play--the figures are few and far between. This is painted nicely and the vignette tells a good story. Can't wait to get my mitts on one. My only comment would be that these fellows aren't dirty enough! I had an uncle that was in the trenches and when his tongue was loosened by a few drinks he'd tell some hair raising tales!

Bill, Great vignette. One question, any chance the weapons will be available as an accessory/spares pack? Neat stuff.~Gary

Thank You Linda,

I made the same comment to Bill as I was photographing the piece. I think that these guys would be very dirty with all of the mud splashing around, and having to duck, dodge and crawl around the battlefield. I know that other painters will paint it with much more distressed features.

Thanks for the kind words Gary, Bill is standing here reading over my sholder and he says "Hello". We scratchbuilt all of the weapons and equipment and Warriors does plan on releasing some WWI accessory sets, the heads will also be released as a headset.
We have a few more WWI projects that will probably become Warriors releases. Including a British piece, an American piece and "yes" some WWI U.S. Marines.

David,
Oh no, you had to say the "m" word. I can hear the thundering "muddy" footsteps coming from Appleton, Wisconsin (Packer Country).

Bill and Dave doing Marines? Say it ain't so! :o I'm shocked. . Seriously though, I look forward to some WWI Americans. You should do the Army figures up as some Dog Faced Soldiers. Rock of the Marne!
